Flying Taxi: UAE Government Media Office
Produced a full-scale flying taxi prototype in London’s transit hub, turning the UAE Government Media Office’s vision into reality.
In October 2023, I helped produce one of the most ambitious PR stunts of my career: staging a life-size flying taxi prototype inside an active taxi lane at one of London’s busiest transit hubs.
Commissioned by the UAE Government Media Office and developed in partnership with IMPACT BBDO, our team at The Experiential Group was challenged to not just imagine the future of transit—but build it, in real life.
Over a fast-paced 10-week timeline, I led production coordination across three countries, guiding cross-functional teams through:
Site Acquisition & Permitting: Secured access to a high-traffic, operational taxi rank within central London.
International Vendor Management: Partnered with UK-based fabrication studio New Substance to design and build the futuristic vehicle
Cross-Agency Collaboration: Bridged timelines and creative objectives between government stakeholders, brand agencies, and local authorities
Production Diplomacy: Navigated complex approvals and logistics with transport officials, legal teams, and international partners
This project exemplifies my favorite kind of work: high-stakes, creatively bold, and requiring real finesse in leadership and logistics. Seeing the flying taxi glint under the London sky, with commuters stopping in their tracks, was a reminder of why I love what I do.
